Livable CNY: CNY Serves as Backdrop and Inspiration for Jewelry Designer

“DaRin said she likes things that are powerful. Jokingly, she tells customers who wear her bold and free-spirited pieces to, ‘wear with caution.'”
Fashionistas flock to Armory Square for Syracuse Style Fashion Event
“Last night was not only for clothing, but for accessories too. Michelle DaRin is a Jewelry designer that has been featured in top magazines like Vogue and on The Today Show. We are lucky to have this designer in our fashion playground at Armory Square, so that women all over Syracuse drop jaws with the risqué statement pieces.
It was all about the bohemian necklace last night having what looked like coral, resin, leather, silver and seeds in the necklaces. It was very ethnic and tribal, but worn very well by the local models. Turquoise was the stone of the night, popping up in almost all jewelry collections with big amorphous, in-the-raw look.
It was the believable styling that complimented the jewelry; DaRin chose jeans, white shirts and even boots for his models. Instead of distracting, it was successful. The abnormality of the accessories can be intimidating, but Dunn shows Syracuse that a simple outfit can go a long way with these bold necklaces.”
